A brief description of the job types that can be posted on MIJ Job Search
Full time employment is employment in which a person works a minimum number of hours defined as such by their employer / employment contract. Full time employment often comes with benefits that are not typically offered to part-time, temporary, or flexible workers, such as annual leave, commuting allowance, sick-leave and health insurance.
A part-time contract is a form of employment that carries fewer hours per week than a full time job. They often work in shifts. The shifts are usually rotational. Workers are considered to be part-time if they commonly work fewer than 30 hours per week.
Temporary or occasional work offered to a highly skilled freelancer / independent contractor. They are not employees of your business, but are paid to complete a certain task or project within a specified budget and time-frame. Another popular phrase used to describe the rapidly growing project based work opportunities is the Gig Economy (links to an external Forbes news article)
